A wedding planner reviewed the progress of a wedding she had been organizing. Everything from the couple she was working with to the details of the ceremony was perfect until the groom gave her a call that almost changed everything.

The idea of someone not knowing they are pregnant can often seem unfathomable for both the pregnant person and those around her. A wedding planner had a similar situation with one of her clients and shared the story on her TikTok.

Amy, a TikTok user, spoke about the couple she worked with and named them John and Kate. After working with them for a while, they had built a good relationship.

Fast forward to the week of the wedding, Amy was finalizing the finishing touches with the couple. They did their final walk-through of the venue two days before the wedding, and by the look of things, everything was going according to plan.

But Amy did not expect what John would tell her the day of the rehearsal. She recalled getting a text from him asking her to call him as soon as possible. Upon returning his call, John casually told her that he and Kate had been at the hospital since the morning.

The wedding planner organized a wheelchair and had it decorated. She also got the chairs to be bigger and more comfortable to sit in and asked the DJ to shorten their first dance song in case Kate was not able to stand for long.

On the wedding day, John called her again and told her that the baby needed to stay in the hospital for a few days, but Kate was good to go and would be making her way to hair and makeup. As Amy prepared to face Kate, she was expecting to see someone in pain or going through a rollercoaster of emotions, but she was faced with the opposite. The bride embraced her with all the excitement.

The wedding planner then proceeded to tell Kate about the small changes she had made to accommodate her situation, but the bride told her to cancel all of that and leave everything as they had planned initially.

Despite being a new mother, Kate did not want to spend her wedding day in a wheelchair. She was ready to stand through her entire first dance with her husband and enjoy the day as much as possible.

Kate spent the day on her feet, dancing the night away. The next day, she returned to her new life as a mother and wife. Amy also checked in on the couple to find out how it all happened.

The newlywed explained that she did not see any of it coming. She had been using an IUD, had been getting her monthly cycle, and had no signs of pregnancy. The only difference was that she gained eight pounds, but she blamed it on the wedding stress.

Overdue after 42 weeks of pregnancy, Kate felt the urge to use the bathroom, and much to her surprise, out came a healthy eight-pound baby boy.

Until this day, Amy said John and Kate’s wedding was one of the most well-organized events with no hiccups. The couple having a baby might have been unexpected, but it did not affect a single detail of their big day.
